My first post here, of course, is a what are they one...sorry!

We are first time chicken owners, and I keep going back and forth on whether these three are hens or roos - we bought them as straight run at a day old. They're all roughly 12 weeks old and we have 1 white crested black polish, 1 golden laced polish, and 1 brahma. What do you guys think? The two polish had some pretty crests a couple of weeks ago....and now they're both crazy!

So we know what to look for in future chicks, what are the giveaways by looking at them?
With the Polish- that messy punk rocker hairdo is typical of males. Also the size and redness of wattles, along with saddle feathers beginning on both.
With the Brahma- that much and that red of comb and wattles at 12 weeks points heavily to male, but he also has saddle feathers (long, pointy, hairlike) growing in on his back.

Thank you! Guess we are going to try this again!

Unfortunately, we can't have roosters where we are, but thankfully we have someone who will take them!
