Crested Polish hen/rooster?

Purchased some pullets at the end of Spring/beginning of Summer from a local feed store. 2 of them were supposed to be Polish Crested chickens and of course being pullets supposedly hens but I am well aware that there isn’t a guarantee. (Out of 14 total, we only got 1 or maybe 2 roosters)
In any case we ended up with Rod (as in Rod Stewart ) or at least I believe he is a he.
I am, however, a little puzzled and have a few questions..
#1 - Is Rod in fact a rooster? He is a little young still to start crowing but the tail feathers and some facial features really have me convinced.
#2 - Because I have had Polish hens in the past and in fact the other Polish I got this year is indeed a hen, the handsome looks of this guy/gal has me a little puzzled. I do know that no breed sold at a feed store is going to be 100% guaranteed to be 100% purebred which is perfectly fine with me. My chickens are mostly for egg production and occasionally when we get a rooster they are just pets.i am not a breeder by any means.
So the question I have is.. what the heck is this guy? I obviously see the Polish but he stands so upright, like all the time and is much bigger than any Polish I have had before. I know the hens are smaller in most breeds but he stands taller than my other rooster who is a Rhode Island.
Any thoughts as to breed(s) here?

I’m not sure on the breed. I have only had one polish and I’m not familiar enough with the breed to know for sure if it’s pure.

I really don’t think it’s pure but just curious as to what else because of the posture.
