Noticed today my barred rock has a very large lump where I believe is its crop. Is this an issue or just her being full? Do I need to do anything?

First thing to do is give fluids, coconut oil, and do crop massage, see if you can break up the mass and get it to pass. When massaging, do not massage upward, you don't want to force stuff back up and risk her aspirating any. You will need to repeat this for awhile to see if you can get it to move. Also get a look at her droppings.

Thank you. I’ll take a look at the link. Can I use a different oil? We don’t have any coconut oil on hand but I have olive and vegetable

Do you have mineral oil? That is another good option which also has laxative effects. If not, use what you have. Coconut oil is easiest as you can freeze it til it's hard and give it in bits easily. Try to get a Tablespoons worth in. And then water, water, water and more water. I would withhold food for up to 6 hours, see if you can get it to break up and move. If it feels like a lot of fiberous stuff, like a mass of grass, that is much harder to get to move. Does she have access to grit all the time?

Yes they have a bowl of grit plus I throw handfuls out in the run regularly.

I don’t really have a way to keep her from the food without also restricting the others. I’ll try massaging it and see how it feels. We may have some mineral oil now that I think about it!

Separate her in a cage for a few days of treatment.
