I'd run out and get some Corid and get them on it asap...look up Coccidosis...were they on medicated starter? If it is cocci it can kill them very quickly.

It *might* be shed intestinal lining...but when it comes to bloody poop in young chicks like that I'd err on the side of caution and treat for cocci.

yes i just started them on medicated starter about 2 days ago... ok i will go get some corid asap!! .. i started with 18 chicks and down to 14 in about a week... i thought it was there food so i put them on medicated starter then this morning i noticed 2 piles of poop like this ok thank you so much i will get some just in case and treat them better to be on safe side!!

Yeah if you've lost 4 out of 18 there might be something going on. The medicated starter lets them build up an immunity to some strains of the cocci (won't completely prevent or cure). The Corid will treat the problem.

how much powder do i put in there water.. and do i just leave it till they drink it or do i chnage it every day and put new meds in it?
