11wk Polish pullet dead, could it have been heat?Would someone please

Our polish died very easily of heat. We live in the desert and the heat snuck up on us one day and did not have enough shade and water... that one day, so we lost 'em. They seem more susceptible to temp changes than most other breeds (from our experience).

Thank you for your imput. My family was really upset that they passed away. We had waited a year to purchase them. 8 days of above 80 with high humidity must have just got the best of them. I am so glad that none of my other chickens have been lost.
