if he she was; when is the average age for brahmas to crow or lay? Or at least start trying to "mate"? Anybody have experience with brahma roosters?

I've raised Brahmas for a long time. Brahmas are notoriously slow developers. They usually start trying to crow around 16-20 weeks. And usually start laying around 7-8 months. Brahma roosters are very docile. They will fight when they first start coming into maturity, but older roosters typically get along well with each other. They are very caring for their hens, especially groups that have been together for a long time. I actually had a rooster that would not eat until all his girls had their fill.
