My bantam Easter Eggers are laying like gangbusters, and I don't know what else to do with their eggs - as I posted in a previous auction, we're about "egged out" here right now, and I don't have any more room for chicks! So I thought I'd see if someone else here would like to hatch some!

My little flock consists of good natured, healthy birds of all different sizes, shapes and colors. Most are "normal looking EE's" (if you can call an EE "normal"), but some are silkie crosses and are crested with five toes on each feathered foot. Some have single combs, some have pea combs, and there is even a rose comb and a walnut comb or two.

There are two roosters in this pen - Blue and Hawkeye. Blue is, well, a mostly BLUE bantam EE - and Hawkeye is a multicolored cross between a silkie and a standard sized EE. I hatched both of these roosters myself from blue eggs, and they have turned out to be puppy dogs with feathers! (there is also a BLRW cockerel in this pen, but I don't believe he is old enough to breed yet) The bantam EE hens in this pen are all different colors and patterns which include blue, black, white, gold, red/silver partridge - and one (Dotty) is a silkie cross that I *believe* may be a "paint." These hens lay small to medium sized eggs in various shades of blue, green, pink and peach (and all these colors will be included in this auction - I will do my best to include as many blues and greens as possible tho!).

You can see pictures of most of my EE's at http://www.krsimages.com under "The Flock". I will be adding pictures to that site as weather and time permits. The pics included with this auction are of chicks that recently hatched here from eggs from these same birds.

According to the USPS website, postage runs $14.50 for a large flat rate box and is listed separate from the auction price. I will ship 12 of these eggs to the lower 48 states only, and will include any extras I have at the time of shipping. Eggs are guaranteed to be fresh and fertile, and I will pack them so that they are snug and insulated, but I cannot guarantee their viability once they reach their destination, because of circumstances beyond my control after they leave my hands. I plan to ship on Monday, 2/8, but I reserve the right to ship on Tuesday or Wednesday, in case of inclement weather or other unforeseen events. Payment will be accepted via Paypal at [email protected].

I think that covers everything - if not, please feel free to PM me or post here with any questions!

Thanks for looking - and happy bidding!

My daughter wants chickens that lay colored eggs but I don't have room for more til my new coop is built! She wants those exact colors as we already have brown egg layers. My bantam cochins just started laying eggs and they are fertile. MAN!!! I WANT THESE EGGS!

Enola - I'm sorry, I'm having a hard time getting the correct color under the fluorescent light in my kitchen. I'll try tomorrow again in the daylight. But in the meantime, this might tide you over - these were eggs that my hens laid during the blizzard in December. Thats a Polish egg in the middle, and EE eggs on the outside - the flash seems to have washed the colors out a bit tho:

Browneye - don't worry, if you don't have room for these particular eggs in this auction, there will be LOTS more come springtime! But keep in mind, these won't be shipped until 2/8, and therefore won't hatch til the first of March, so they won't even be ready to go outside til mid to late April...

Thanks - they ARE cool!!! Between these bantam EE's, and my LF EE's, cuckoo marans, BR, dominique, welsummer, and my CW/BO and BCM/BO mixes, I find a rainbow of color in the nest boxes every day!

(Sorry, but my local egg customers have first dibs on the big eggs...)

Here is my blob of blue babies that just hatched this weekend from the OP's EE eggs.

This is only some of them though. I hatched 30 or so of her bantam eggs and got a wonderful variety of chicks from them

Awwww - just LOOK at all of them!!! I'm so glad you had a good hatch Deb!!! Thanks for posting this!!

ETA: BTW, I can't wait to see how they feather out - sometimes they look blue or black or other colors, but once their feathers start popping out, anything goes!

Ok, now will these eggs, once they are hatched and start laying, lay the same colored eggs as these?
