12+ BBS Orpington Eggs (Blue and Black chicks only)

Up for auction is 12+ of my Blue and Black Orpingtons.

The rooster is Cole and he has 3 lovely blue ladies and 1 lovely splash lady. Cole has lots of beautiful green in his black feathers. I have seen turkeys that are smaller than he is. He is going to be 3 this year and he is a gentle giant, who is wonderful with his girls. With this mating, the blue girls will have 50% blue and 50% black chicks, while the splash will have all blue chicks. These are not hatchery birds.

I will be shipping these out Monday (5/3/10) and I always include lots of extras.

As with any shipped eggs, I cannot guarantee them once they leave here. I WILL package them well. I wrap each egg in large bubble wrap. I feel that this offers more protection to the eggs than the small bubble wrap. I ship via paypal shipping and so you will have your tracking number emailed to you as soon as I print the label.

I started collecting them Thursday evening. So at shipping the oldest will be 4 days.

I have no room in my incubator until the end of May or I would have bought 2 dozen from you right now!

I have 3 BBS Orp eggs in the incubator that are due around May 11th, I'm crossing my fingers that they hatch. I've wanted some of these birds for the longest time. Yours look beautiful and you're actually selling your eggs at a very reasonable price!

Do you think your birds will be laying well until that time? I'll keep you in mind...

I got a 1/2 dozen test eggs from taz last spring, hatched two (I am a lousy hatcher) and now have the prettiest black hen you have ever seen. Also a blue, she is gorgeous,but that black, she is so proud of herself and her tail sticks right up, like a very buxom woman.

She is truly eye candy.

I would definitely recommend her.

They hate the camera! All my orp hens hate it, I have a very difficult time getting pics of any of them.

Now the roo's are another story, vainglorious beasties they are! I have a 100 pictures and only about 3 of them are any good, will have to see what I have.

(edited to add.. Ok, I found one picture, but it doesnt even begin to do her justice. They literally do seem to turn their fuzzy bums the other way when I try for pictures, even tho they crowd me at any other time. I think they know!)
