I wanted to get feedback from the winner of the first auction as to my packing technique and fertillity before posting a second auction. Corresponded with her(them) yesterday, and here we are again.

Breeding pen consists of 5 blue laced hens, 7 black laced hens, 2 splash blue columbian hens, 1 black laced cock, and 2 blue laced cockerels. Most of the chicks will be fathered by the blue boys. These birds have the gentle, laid back Brahma temperment. This is an ongoing project, still needing improvement, but have always impressed people who have seen them.

ADJUSTED SHARK WARNING: If the winning bid is less than one U.S. dollar higher than the previous bid, the + of 12+ may reflect the bid.
Have Paypal account. Mail leaves my post office at 4PM daily.

Group shot of most of breeding pen on roost.

SHARK WARNING: If the winning bid is less than one U.S. dollar higher than the previous bid, you may not recieve my freshest eggs. You have been warned (cue ominous music)

this would make me NOT bid knowing you might not be sending fresh hatching eggs.-shark or no shark.

X2 - Especially starting out at $50 and the winner may not get fresh eggs!! What up with that?

Actually, a friend and I got his last set of eggs, and $50 is well worth what he's got. My friend and I split the cost and are planning to share ownership of whatever hatches.

We purchased 12 eggs - but he sent more like 16. He packaged them well, none of them broke in shipping. All of them have developed, and only one egg had to be removed from the 'bator because it quit early. The remaining 15 eggs are all developing and have strong swimming chicks in them. They are due to hatch soon and my friend and I are extremely excited to be one of the first to get our hands on this new color in the Brahmas.

We also saw his Silver Laced in person at Nationals. They are spectacular! I held off getting those in wait for getting my hands on these.

In regards to the shark warning, sellers aren't able to set bid increments here like on eBay, so basically that's his way of telling you he's only going to accept bid increments of $1.

Maybe you should reread our post. No one is saying that the eggs arent worth that amount. What im saying is that when somone bids should not decide if they get fresh eggs or not especially if im paying top dollar for the eggs. Heres a ? for you. Would have bid on the eggs you won knowing you might not get fresh eggs?

I not sure I understand. If I bid 50.00 and you bid 50.01 you now are not getting fresh eggs. If you bid 55.00 now you can have fresh eggs. If bids 50.01 what is he doing with the fresh egg given them to 50.00. I am so confused

I know you weren't saying they weren't worth the dollar amount, I was just giving feedback on how the eggs arrived and the fertility rate we're having.

I actually did bid on his last set of eggs, and he had the same shark warning on them.

The only way you wouldn't be guaranteed the fresh eggs is if you're bidding less than $1 - so yes i would bid, because if I'm bidding at the $1 increments I'm guaranteed the fresh eggs.

I don't really think he'd send you week old eggs for it, though, if that's what you're thinking. The eggs he shipped to me were collected the day of shipping. I think he means the eggs he sends to you if you win them at $50.01 *could* be 2-3 days old at time of shipment and not that days eggs. If someone doesn't mind having eggs that are 2-3 days old at the time of shipping then the shark warning I guess wouldn't matter to some.

Ok maybe Im wrong maybe you would spend that kind of money and know you may not get the freshest eggs.
