instead of a normal "peep" it sounded the same high pitch but like your rolling your tonuge slowly

what does this indicate...a purr...just learning how to use their voice


is a purr a good indicator of a female?
 
No, that's not a sign that they are girls. the males will make the same noise. I found out that I had a tom at about 2-3 weeks of age. He fanned his tail feathers and lowered his wings and puffed his back hair up and struted. It was neat. That will be how you know that you have a male. they will do this for about 2 days. So you will need to watch them.

Well I am sure that it is a tom Because its older now. but from my expieriance he was the only one that did that and he turned out to be a tom.
