DE is a waste of money. Doesn't work when wet and doesn't work on infestations. This case is an infestation. I knew something was wrong just by looking at her.

Permethrin dust currently. Dusted them down to the pins of their feathers and letting them sleep in it. Will be washing them all soon (maybe tomorrow). I have a concert tomorrow, but if I make it home in time, I will wash all of them and deworm them with my sister. We don't have ivermectin, but will get hold of that if it gets worse. Fingers crossed!

That all sounds good! I was just going to mention that I used Bronco horse fly spray and that surprisingly worked extremely well, and was really easy to use.
Got rid of everything. Mites, Lice, and the nits. I only sprayed them a few days each week and in two weeks they were gone.
I despise mites. Terrible, nasty little things. I hope you can get it eliminated quickly! Are you treating all of your birds? We have two lots right next to each other and when my chickens on our main lot got them the ones on the other lot did too. They can be transported on anything and everything.

(They are not 12, but...They are on day 19 and all made it to lockdown.)

Regardless of sex. These are from my hens. They all have the same dad.

We have a guest houses on both properties as well, but the birds are on a different house entirely. Same neighborhood, but two houses down.

Today I found out one of the black mutts (unamed) has sour crop too.

Going to be a fun Christmas!

Awww, that's too bad! I hope you can fix it easily. Crop issues are tough.
I have been dealing with some issues lately too unfortunately. My main patient just passed yesterday though.
