12 Days of Christmas, What a List

The 12 days of Christmas was quite the spectacular gift list. Since half the list is birds, I started to think about which day I would enjoy the most. Since I adore my geese I would probably choose day 6, but I also love pears, so that partridge in a pear tree sounds good as well.

So which day would you look forward to. The bIrds or the entertainment gifts. Perhaps those maids a-milking could also do other chores? Clean out the coop? Yes please.

Any specific bird? I adore the chickadees chattering at me when I fill the feeder.

It leaves a lot if questions really....

That partridge...did it eat the pear? If so than no.
Those turtle doves...made of candy? If yes than absolutely!
French hens? Are they uppity or nice?
Calling birds? Do they ever shush?
Golden rings? Can I sell them to buy more birds?
Geese a laying? Well those sound nice.
Swans? Are they the hissy biting kind?

The rest are all people stuff so I would definitely choose from the first 6 options.

Chickadees are so cute, fun to watch too! I love bird song from the Thrasher family of birds the most, they have the most colorful of song. My favorite being the Curve-billed Thrasher, I also love the territorial call of the Black-headed Grosbeak, SO colorful and melodic!

Yup they sound obnoxious.

Those drummer boys could be from heavy metal bands and play all night. Pretty obnoxious too I think.

The good thing is I thing they bring 3 each day, so you would get 10 days of 3 French hens, are they salmon faverolle? For a total of 30 if my math is correct.
