12 F1 eggs "Fluffy Feathered Ameraucanas"

Dumb question, but since these are F1's, they will all be smooth feathered with the "fluffy" gene correct? Thanks!

Yes, all chicks will be either Blue or Splash with smooth/normal feathers and be 'fluffy' carriers. You would get fluffy birds by mating the hatched chicks to each other.

hehehe

So what I'm hoping to get is roos right?
What color hens would I put them over? Blue and black? Splash?

I THINK your best chance at fluffy babies would to be to mate the chicks from these eggs to each other. Unless you also win F1 eggs from another source. If you breed the resulting chicks back to pure Ameraucanas you will get all smooth feathered babies again. (Right, guys?)

Good luck with the auction! And good luck to everyone bidding!

Hey Kim, When (Not if, lol) you win these I will be stalking you for eggs when yours start laying

Yeah I figured that out after I wrote it. duh
I have been watching the What's wrong with their feathers? thread since it started. I've taken notes and everything, so I don't even know why I asked.
Looks like these babies are gonna be mine....hehe

That would be nice. I've wanted them for like 20 years.
