I have one surviving chick from an incubator (12 hours old, fully walking and pecking but wobbling of course) and was only able to find 3 day olds as roomies. When can I put them together? The three newbies do have a smaller of the three, maybe I can try moving the smaller one with the 12 he old first. 12 hr baby is sad alone. Peeping uncontrollably :(

I had to take the young chick out of the incubator because of cat knocking over the incubator and keeping humidity so high for the others.

Absolutely fine to mingle those even with a little size difference.

Get a plan to sort out your cat though. You may need to lock it in a room for the day or lock them out of the room the incubator and brooder are in for the duration of the time your birds will be indoors.

You don't want to put your birds at further risk.

Believe me the cat is in the garage since this nightmare started. She’s not coming out anytime soon.

I thought I’d share. Crash is still sleeping way more than the older chicks, even though they are only a couple days older I’m having to keep an eye on the pecking. The older chicks are rambunctious already. :wee:wee:wee
