Yes she is...She lays a VERY LARGE dull/matte light green egg....I know her eggs and it's obvious when she lays because of the egg size and color....I also have a few marans Hens in the pen for olive eggers...I assure you I know the difference and those eggs do not get sent...only my Ameraucana eggs...They are blue smaller and very glossy..thank you for asking

Here is SOME of my breeding pens.
All photos were taken previous to them laying and in Summer lighting...Winter lighting just doesn't work well for their coloring.

Sonew-Nat, you have many many friends on BYC Because you are straight with people. If I was looking for Lavender Ameraucanas, and you were selling them, I would not even need a picture to know what I'm getting. Your word would be enough.

Geez, Nat, I thought I was one of the few who knew which of my 20 layers laid which egg! Even my husband can tell!

. Thought I should add this funny comment though..The BO and the RIR that were spotted in my photos are 5 years old and haven't laid eggs in well over a year..They would also kick my roosters butts if they went near them!

I do know who lays exactly what eggs

I only have about 80 birds. Most of whom are penned by breeds and I can tell who lays what in each of their pens

. When I can't, that's when I would lesson my numbers because their eggs tell me a lot about their health too.

Nat, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to be able to tell eggs apart. I must have 7 different breeds of hens, and I know exactly who laid what egg. Maybe I spend too much time out there!!!

Nonsense..There's no such thing as spending too much time with them unless you had a bed and Internet nstalled at the coops!

LOL, I have wireless, so me and my laptop can actually go sit with the girls. But then I'd have a few hens sitting on the back of my chair pecking at the screen!

I wish my Internet let me take my laptop down there! Then I might have to bring a cot down! Haha
