UNDER NEW RULES THIS IS A BUY IT NOW AUCTION. SO PLEASE HIT THE BUY IT NOW AND PM ME THE DATE YOU WANT. THANK YOU for looking.... Roslyn

For your consideration I have 12 plus hatching eggs from our purebred Splash/Blue FULLY Bearded Silkies or our cute adorable colorful Sizzle Bantams. LET ME KNOW WHICH YOU WANT OR CAN DO AN ASSORTMENT OF ALL TO ADD COLORFUL EYE CANDY FOR YOUR FLOCK!. All are laying pretty good right now, but you know Silkies and Sizzles they can go broody at the drop of a hat LOL. Cochin Bantams are the most sweetest docile birds and I have SEVERAL that are just total pets LOL. They are my all time favorite bantam! They are great layers, but prefer being broody or taking care of chicks. We LOVE the Sizzles and use them to hatch all of our Peafowl and Turkey eggs. Both are great as pets or 4-H poultry projects as well! They love getting all the attention! Shipping for a doz is $13.00. I can get 2 doz in a box for $14.00 shipping. We take Paypal and USPS money orders and ship eggs on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. We are always happy to work with you on a shipping date you prefer and any special orders you might want. We love our little colorful Cochins and know you will also

At Lucky Pickens Farm we’ve been raising poultry for over 50 years and strive to raise high quality birds for show or just for pets. All birds on our farm are blood tested Pullorum/Typhoid clean. We see that our birds are kept happy and healthy by giving them the very best feed and TLC daily! We strive to breed to the Standard of Perfection on each breed we raise and all are purebred and kept in individual breeding pens away from predators. We feed a high quality, high protein all natural game bird breeder pellet with vitamins and minerals in the water daily to insure high fertility. We also feed a little scratch grains, Calf Manna and veggie treats from the garden daily. We LOVE spoiling our birds and it shows!

Below is a little info about each of our breeding pens so you have some idea of what color you might get. You can see more photos of them on our website below and are always happy to answer any questions about them. If you see some you like feel free to email us about special orders.

***Our SILKIES all have full beards and tall full crests, black skin and 5 evenly spaced toes. We have 1 Splash Silkie rooster "Gonzo" with 2 Splash Silkie hens and 2 Black Silkie hens. You will get Splash & Blue from this breeding and we get lots of chicks with vaulted heads. My Silkies are pretty little fuzzballs who are correct in every way and love being broody!
All birds on our farm are blood tested Pullorum/Typhoid clean. We see that our birds are kept happy and healthy by giving them the best feed and TLC daily! Our Heritage RI Reds get to free range while our purebred bantams are kept in individual breeding pens away from predators. We feed a high quality, high protein all natural game bird breeder pellet with vitamins and minerals in the water daily to insure high fertility. We also feed a little scratch grains, Calf Manna and veggie treats from the garden daily. We LOVE spoiling our birds and it shows!

***Our SIZZLES are a work in progress, but are getting close to the Silkie standard but with frizzle feathers! If you love Cochin and Silkies then you will LOVE Sizzles! They are the best of both, just absolutely adorable, lovable and hands down the best broodies of them all! Chicks are so cute and colorful, you will get both straight and frizzles, but you will absolutely love them all! Please remember when breeding with the frizzle gene to breed straight to frizzle or you won't get nice curly feathers. Save the straight birds from frizzle breeding and breed back to frizzle birds. You will get a higher number of frizzles then with even prettier curls.

***Pen #1 includes a fully bearded Splash Partridge Silkie Rooster "Gomez"and the hens are... 2 Partridge Frizzle Sizzles, , 1 Black Frizzle Sizzle, 1 Blue Frizzle Cochin Bantam and 2 Partridge Frizzle Cochin Bantams.

***Pen #2 includes a Mille Fleur d'Uccle rooster with a Blue Frizzle Sizzle and 1 White Frizzled Sizzle. With this breeding we are working on putting more color, muffs and foot feathers on our sizzles. Eggs are in the incubator and can't wait to see how they turn out.

Chicken raisin' is all we do so I assure you we gather often to keep the eggs from getting to hot or to cold to stay fresh and fertile for you. Our hatching eggs we send out are no more than three days old. They are turned three times a day and stored in a temperature controlled room to assure you the best possible hatch. Eggs are usually fairly clean, but may contain occasional soiling. I do not wash eggs but will brush of excess soiling if present. Washing can contaminate the eggs and may decrease hatch rate. Eggs are wrapped individually in bubble wrap then nestled and secured in crumpled newspaper and box is clearly marked FRAGILE. I have found if I don't put Hatching Eggs on the box they get treated better also, but will gladly mark them that way if you so want. I've had very good success shipping this way. We have had an excellent hatch rate on our farm ourselves this year as well as with our shipped eggs. However, we cannot guarantee your hatch rate due to circumstances out of our control. Rough postal handling and incubator mishaps will make perfectly fertile eggs not develop or hatch. Purchasing shipped hatching eggs is a risk. Please be understanding and know this when purchasing hatching eggs. When your eggs arrive carefully unwrap them and store them pointy end down at room temperature for 12-24 hours to help the air cell settle from shipping.

I have Fibromyalgia and can't work. My chickens are my therapy that keep me going, selling a few hatching eggs and chicks helps me buy feed for my little feathered loved ones, THANK YOU for looking!

Hugs, God Bless and happy hatching from Lucky Pickens Farm!

I am near you and know where you are located. Do you have any young frizzles, cochins, or silkies for sale?

I do have some frizzles, sizzles and a few cochins and always have some hatching weekly. Also I will gladly set and hatch what ever you want. Thank you for looking. I really love my birds and love getting others hooked on them as well. They are such wonderful therapy for anyone. Dont' know where I would be without my birds.

Hi. do you have lemon blue bantam cochins? I live in springdale and have talked to you on the phone a long time ago.

I do have a start in lemon blues and if you look at my auction posting for my cochin eggs you can see pictures of them. I don't have any chicks for sale right now but gonna be putting some in the incubators real soon, been doing some project birds hatching first. I have eggs for sale though if you want to get some. I have hatched several though and raising a pretty blue pullet I hope to add to the pen soon. I think they are so pretty.

I just hatched some more sizzles from this pen and they all are turning out so pretty. Some are buff, some partridge colored and some pretty blues. Will try to post some photos later of some of the new chicks and some that I am raising from this pen. All really pretty and colorful!
