That and the humidity probably did it. I keep mine at 100.2 because I can't get it adjusted right no matter what I do. Don't use your styrafoam unless you have to, the sportsman is so much nicer.

OK..... when the chicks are about to hatch, can I put the cover on the egg cartons to keep them in?
I plan on getting a hatcher sometime this year...

No, then they will be trapped in a small carton with no light until you get to them, I just let them hatch and collect them every 5 hours or less.

I started mine today, but I got screws that were 2 inches too long. So I got all of the boards cut, and all of the weather stripping cut.
