I have one more question about brooding
Our garage is 30* and the brooder is in the garage. The brooder is set at 99.5 - 100.
Would the chick be fine by himself, with 2 stuffed animals and a blanket?

Well that is pretty cold. What is the temperature inside of the brooder?

The brooder is all wood except for a 1x1 wire door...... it should get to 99*

You really need a thermometer, and what kind of brooder is it? With one chick it is hard without a thermometer.
