12 week barnevelder- hen or roo?

I thought 100% hen but tail feathers are starting to curl. Not familiar with this breed.

Wow, that is a beautiful bird.

You would see more male specific feathering at this age if it was male, and the saddle feathers would be pointed and longer, but I see what you mean. I wonder if curly saddle feathers is a barnvelder thing.

I think she’s beautiful too and she’s become a favorite so would’ve been sad if it was a boy. I just saw her battle with one of my young Roos and then the tail feathers so I was confused a little. Thanks

Yeah, that always surprises me, too. I have found that there are some really spunky hens out there!
