12 week olds really mature

my chicken batch this year is the most mature after 10 weeks i have ever had...roosters crowing started at 10 weeks{only few of them} and roosters mating hens and the whole group are the biggest ones ive had at this age...the only thing i really did different is start on game bird 28% feed after the first bag of chick starter 20%... and they are so good when free ranging, they dont go in the woods or to far away and never go up to the house..of course they are still young and that will change but my previous batches where all over...they also keep in groups and go back in fenced area{4000 sq ft} and rest for half hour and then range for half hour cycles...one group stays by coupe and the other by gate under tree...i have 24 now after great horned owls got a few...but now they are much smarter and keep eye to sky and always run to trees and such from open areas....
well just had time for story of my best batch of chickens i ever had...5 breeds RIR, BO, fav's, GLW. BA...jeff
