12 week olds with no size

OK, My crazy chickens (SPRocks) are coming up on 12 weeks, I have a couple Roos who have some size to them but I have 16 of these guys in all and it dosen't appear that theres much meat on them or very little anyway.

Is this because there not good meat birds? does it take them longer to develop? I started feeding turkey grower about 2 weeks ago, they do run around alot in the yard and there getting scratch and lots of greens also.

Are they just slow to develop or is it because I just didn't get a good breed for meat? Thanks,

Pure bred rocks grow slow, though I have read many posts about barred rocks being faster growing than some of the others.

Read some of the many many many posts on this subject, it's all we talk about, sometimes.

Yep, the only bird that you'll get store like meat out of is going to be cornish x's or some other meat type bird.

You have a few more weeks to wait before they're at a good age to butcher. You can butcher them around 15 or 16 weeks.
