12 week olds

My chicks are now 12+ weeks old and they free range on our 11 acres. I feed them starter grower but they don't seem to be eating as much, is this due to them free ranging?? and does this hurt tehm just eating bugs and grass.

Not at all. Enjoy this season, as it won't always be so. In spring, when the grass is tender and the bugs and worms are out, a chicken can successfully scratch up a large portion of its diet. Not nearly so easy in winter months or during a drought when everything seems dead.
