12 weeks - Roo or hen?

I asked about this one a while ago but it was still young, now that it's a little older id love more opinions

My gut says roo. It's a 12 week silver cochin
If it's a roo he will sadly have to go he's so pretty and great temperament.
When do they start showing their "roo" characteristics?

When does the mounting/crowing usually start? Also I've heard cochin roosters can be pretty mellow and some don't even crow, anyone have experience?

I've had roosters start crowing as early as 3 weeks and as late as 8 months. 3-4 months is probably about the average. I've never had a cochin rooster.
