Hello again!
Just found out that 2 of the 4 chickens we got are roosters so just want to make sure we don't have even more bad luck.
We got this chicken from my sons school who got the eggs from a breeder and then the students raise the eggs in the incubator and watch them hatch. I included multiple pictures from different ages but currently 13 weeks old, the breeder said the rooster was a Black Australorp hens possible were a Black Australorp, Barred Rock, Delaware, Rhode Island Reds. I did post in another forum about health issues and their comb as it is not growing as all the others.

I would say pullet. I would think at this age if it was a cockerel it would have a more developed comb/wattles 😊
Thank you!! The other 3 have such a developed comb/wattle I was thinking that this one may be sick. I am hoping that at least 2 of the 4 I got are pullets or we are in trouble lol

It may just be the breed. I know some are slower progressing than others. We have a few different breeds and some of ours have waddles and a decent comb and some of them have a tiny comb and no wattles! They all seem to be happy and healthy 😊

She looks pullet to me!

(This might have already been covered in previous posts, but if all of your chickens were definitely sired by the Black Australorp, the barred chicken in photo 4 must be a cockerel--in these particular pairings that's a sex-linked cross)

Yes, thank you! Something I am learning the hard way. I now know a lot more about sex linked crosses lol
