I've attached pics of my red sex links...I thought they were both girls, but I am having second thoughts.

This is JR....
wattles and comb are starting to form.

no wattles & comb to speak of yet, and pointier tail feathers.

do these look like red sexlinks to you? That's just what they looked like to me, and I asked some people on this board when they were younger. But I'm glad to know that I have 2 girls!

you realise that being red sexlinks, the fact that they are red makes them female..

Thats kinda the point of the breed. Boys are White and Girls are Red. When they get older they can balance out feathering, but girls are almost mostly red and boys are always mostly white

thanks! I thought they were red sexlink girls, but I began to doubt and thought maybe one could be a production red roo. I knew that sexlink boys are mostly white....

could someone please explain their differences in development? I'm just stumped about one getting wattles and larger comb, when the other hasn't. I bought them at the same time, although I did get them from the same bin at TSC, which probably doesn't mean anything....they could be totally hodge podge in their breeds. Do some red sexlinks not get wattles and combs? or develop later?

thanks for your patience with me, these are my first 2 chicks!! I can't imagine trying to sex the 32 others I have!! They are only 4 weeks right now.
