13 weeks old chickens....feed question

Is it going to hurt my 13 weeks old domoniques to put them in a pen with grown birds eating layer feed? I know it says stuff about messing up their kidneys, but I don't want to switch up the grown birds feed....as they are on a good laying cycle right now. Plus I don not want to spend more $$ on a flock feed.

The layer feed isn't going to kill them or anything is it??

Commercial operations that switch to layer too soon lose lots of pullets.
Just feed them all grower and put crushed oyster shell in a separate container till the young'uns are at least 18 weeks, preferably till they lay the first egg.
Add raw apple cider vinegar to the water for an acidifier and it will help the kidney/calcium thing.
