Keep her nice and warm. For now, I would say it's ok to keep her, if you are doing the best you can for her. A diaper is a good idea. Can you post a pic of her?
I've had plenty of animals over the years but never birds. I know know to watch and wait for mum etc and we really had a good look, we even checked the next day and scoured the entire river for her or any ducklings.Keep her nice and warm. Sorry to be a technophobe but how do I post a photo?
We think she's a little mallard by her size and markings. I'll get a photo up if you're okay to tell me how? Thank you!
For me, when I'm posting, up at the top there is a little image icon. Depending on your device it will either pull up your photo library or ask you to choose a file.Sorry to be a technophobe but how do I post a photo?

Hi!
She is currently in a large pen we had for our hamster for floor time. So it's probably around 1.5m by 60cm against the wall. Bars are small enough that She can't get stuck etc. She has a hot water bottle with a cover and a snood over all day and all night to keep her warm. We got her some chick crumb and add some nutritional yeast powder (internet said to do this as chick crumb doesn't have niacin?). She has her water changed around 4 times a day and has been paddling in a little storage tub filled with warm water for around 5 mins.
I've just double checked and the rspca aren't taking any new animals and the rspb aren't taking calls. I feel terrible nowI've had plenty of animals over the years but never birds. Would it be of any use to contact defra? I fear that by the time any of the rescues are open she will be so tame. She peeps to us until we sit her in our hand.
