How accurate they are for hatching eggs? I have built a small incubator(for about 12 eggs) and I have purchased two Digital Oral Thermometers(different brands) the seem to be displaying the same temperature but something tells me they are reading about 1 or 2 degree Celsius higher than what should be but I can't tell until I get myself an actual Mercury one(hard to get now a days), anyone has used these on doing DIY Incubator?

Best Regards,

Sorry, no one was able to help, how did your hatch go?
More like no one was willing to help, yet many are eagerly searching for help.

Well my hatch rate was very bad 30%, thinking that the digital thermometer was off by two degrees I kept the temperature out of range of the safe and only three hatch, on the second hatch I lowered to the correct 37.5, hatching rate improved greatly of course.

These are incredibly accurate:

To use for temperature/humidity you don't need to install or setup Mi Home. It's all on the display

There's a lot of people asking for help hard to get through all of them. But what caught my eye about your thread is that you posted an Oral temp reader. Which I thought was very unusual.

I have never hatched but I thought humidity also played a part. Am I wrong? Will probably be hatching eggs next spring. If I had any knowledge I would have gladly helped but sadly I am new to chicken husbandry. If you have any questions about pigs though I am the man
