Egg bound?

I just noticed my chickens bottom looks like this and it looks like she’s trying to poop but can’t. She hasn’t seemed sick previously. Is she egg bound?

I just noticed my chickens bottom looks like this and it looks like she’s trying to poop but can’t. She hasn’t seemed sick previously. Is she egg bound?

I soaked her bottom in salt water and can feel/see an egg right there. She hasn’t layed all winter and spring is really just started here (Atlantic Canada). After I washed her bum off she pooped right away but she still looks A bit prolapsed and maybe infected? The poop on her was rock hard and crusted to her skin.

So sorry no one replied. How is she doing?

She is ok. We ended up having to crack the egg and pull it out but we did so with it mainly intact. She recovered well.
