Check My Mix Breed Chicks! Golden Laced Sebright/Silverduckwing Mix

My broody's eggs hatched today after 22 days of the longest time of my life. Of course Danny, the broody had an even harder time, so all the credit goes to her. 5 out of 6 eggs hatched and they all have no visible deformities. The 6 was a quiter sadly. Well anyway, let us get out of the depressed state as I present to you, one the chicks!

The picture is a bit discolored. The chick is black with a tint of blue and white at the tips of the fluff. It also has a milk-white underbelly. Isn't it cute?

I will post weekly as they grow so that we can see what they look like as adults.

I just wanted to say that all of the chicks are now all fluffed up and they still look like their chicken nugget sized! Just don't eat them! They are so, so, so, small and so, so, so, so, so, so, so precious. Every hour they are getting more stronger and are finding their voices.

Danny was finally brave enough to bring them all out to drink and eat. All six of them were gathered around the water today.

Sorry for not posting three days ago. The chicks have now grown feathered wings and as crazy as it is, they might be auto sexed. I vent sexed them today, three white headed hens, one brown headed male, and one brown headed possibly male.

Here are some photos of one of the chicks, sadly I had to return my school laptop to school because school ended yesterday. So I am using my tablet's camera. (Little advise, never buy a RCA tablet because dust easily gets into my screen, scratches easily, lags like crazy, and has a blurry camera that is the size of a salt grain, also hardly Android compatible as it boast to be)

If the Golden Laced Sebright is the father, and the Silver Duckwing is the mother--then you have gold/silver sexlinks.

Gold rooster + silver hen = gold daughters and silver sons.
(Yes, the chicks' colors match the opposite-gender parent.)

Gold father + silver mother, yes always sexlinks. (But some chicks have down color that makes it hard to see when they're little--Golden Laced Wyandottes and Silver Laced Wyandottes, for example.)

Gold mother + Silver father = not sexlinks.
