We have extra Blue Orp chicks this week! ~ 24 HOUR AUCTION~ Should be some nice show prospects in with these chicks. The roo we are using came from Dick Hostman's show stock and is huge and absolutely gorgeous.
Chicks are hatching today and will ship tomorrow. UPDATED COUNT - THERE ARE 14 BBS ORPS AND 6 BEAUTIFUL LAVENDERS THAT WILL SHIP TODAY - 20 TOTAL!. They will ship as hatched, and straight run. Chicks will be blue and splash as the roo is splash - could be a possibility of a black due to the date we switched roos. (check out our website for information on blue genetics).
About our birds:
Our Orpingtons are absolutely huge. Our girls are big, very fluffy and look like they have on big skirts. We purchased our original Orpingtons from show stock from Dick Horstman, and big beautiful Orpingtons from James May . We are extremely please with the quality from both lines. I guess it could go unsaid that these birds are very easily confined because the are too heavy to fly. They are friendly and curious birds and are absolutely beautiful!

Shipping is $20.00 priority or $40 express. We prepare a special box for shipping chicks in cold weather and the chicks do quite well. We also include GroGel and a shipping warmer(if needed) at no additional charge. We will accept PayPal only and auction must be paid right away at the end so they can ship tomorrow.

Thanks for viewing and Good Luck! (If you have any questions at all please don't hesitate to ask)
(We do not ship to VA, AK, Hawaii or SD)

Actually I can take any payment method (checks, MO, cash....) just not on day old chicks unless they are ordered in advance. They have to ship within 24 hours of hatching

Thanks for your interest!!

Hi ya'll. We had some questions on shipping and just wanted to share some info on the difference between express and priority shipping:

Hi ******* and thanks for your interest in our chicks.

Some people believe express is overnight but it is not for live animals. The postal service guarantees 3 days on express and will not refund shipping until it has been over 3 days. (however I have had it take 5 days with express....

) Priority usually takes 2 days but there is no guarantee. The longest I have ever had it take with priority was 3 days, that is not to say it couldn't take longer. You can not track express any better than you can track priority (if they are lost you really can not track either one if they were not scanned in.)

I ship priority as far as CA and have not had a problem. The express shipment that took 5 days was also to CA. I guess the bottom line is it is up to you. If they do not receive at least what was ordered I replace them whether it was express or priority. The post office refuses to cover the chicks under their insurance unless the box was actually damaged enough to prove it was their fault beyond a doubt. We ship more priority than we do express.

Hope all the info helps and good luck!! These are really nice chicks
