14 guage galvanized vinyl fencing

Will 14 guage galvanized vinyl covered welded wire fence with 2'' x 3" provide decent run protection? I do live in an area frequented by foxes, raccoons, coyotes and snakes. My chicks are just over 3 weeks old now and I'm thinking of putting them out soon.

Snakes can squeeze through just about anything. Raccoons are strong enough to rip open anything they can get their paws into. I would recommend 1/2" wire instead of 2x3. That way rats and mice cannot get in either.

Thanks for your suggestion! You mean 1/2 " hardware cloth? Heaviest guage affordable the better I'd guess.
