With a heavy heart, I have to surrender a beautiful flock of 14 spoiled chickens. They are my sweet girls, so I'm trying to find a place that will treat them well and not snack on their flesh. Most of them were hand-raised by me. They ask to be held and many just want to nap in your arms, sun bathe on your lap, or even perch on your shoulder. I am very sad to have to put them up for adoption, and I need to be sure they can go somewhere their spoiling can continue (as much as reasonable).

What's your general location, breed, age of flock?

edit: my bad...over-looked location mentioned in title.

good luck with rehoming them.

There are 5 Easter Eggers (mutts), 1 bantam mutt, 2 cinnamon queens, 3 black sex link, and 3 sapphire gem. The first 6 mentioned are 3ish years. The others are probably 8 months old.

You in nw Arkansas? I'm in sw Missouri. I could take them if you're close. I don't eat hens.
I'm in central Arkansas. But I am willing to travel to ensure the lovely ladies get a good home. I would drop them off with feed, scratch, and the like as well as a thank you. The 8 are prolific layers and hearty breeds. Im getting 8 brown eggs per day from them. The others lay prettier eggs but fewer per year. Would they have the ability to safely free range?

Oof that's a drive. I'm just north of pea ridge. // Yeah I have 15 acres that I let my 17 chickens free range. I have a great Pyrenees mix, an anatolian mix, basset hound, and pitbull patrolling out there 24 x 7

I'm in N Arkansas I would gladly take them as I have a few spoiled chickens myself. I feel they need more friends as I only have 3 2 hens and 1 rooster.

Trying to figure out how I delete threads, but for now I'll just post a reply saying thank you all and my ladies have found a new place to be spoiled!! Hoping to one day return the favor and rescue some ladies needing rehoming. Thank you again!
