Hi all I have a 14 week old chicken that appears to be swollen shut. I’ve never had any health issues with any of my chickens before and I am unsure as to how to go about a helping her. She seems a little more subdued than usual but nothing too extreme, she doesn’t seem to be on any pain and she is able to open her eye occasionally. It has been pouring rain the past couple of days and I haven’t really been able to spend time with them like I usually do so this cannot be more than a few days old. I have five other chickens all living in the same conditions as her and none of them seem to have any issues. I have attached pictures of the eye and her other eye which appears to be normal however I wasn’t really able to get a picture of her swollen eye open but it seems normal.

Poor baby! Maybe she got something stuck in her eye? Such as wood chips or a piece of dirt. You might want to flush it was contact solution such as biotrue. If there is something stuck it might help get it out and it can clean out any cuts she might have on it. It doesn’t hurt them so it is safe and I would recommend 2 to 3 times a day. 🤷‍♀️ Best of luck to you and your little girl!!!
