I purchased 11 sexed female chicks from Meyer Hatchery in June. All seem to be pullets but I'm questioning my Olive Egger, Pepper. She has pullet features, no wattle development, same size legs as the others, no aggression, no Male saddle feathers, no signs of crowing, same feathering as the other girls, but her comb is pea comb and bigger than I expected. Most my girls are starting to get color in their combs as they are maturing, and in particular her and my barred Plymouth Rock seem to have the most red especially when running around. I've seen pictures of olive egger hens with the same lineage (Black Copper Marans x Blue Ameraucana) have a comb the same as or even a little bigger than hers, but I'm still just very unsure. Hoping for a hens as I was so looking forward to olive eggs. Here are some pictures.
Keep in mind these were taken after the chickens had been free ranging all morning, I had just let the dogs out, and they chased me down because I had some treats for them so their combs look more red than they normally do.
