I have 6 14 week old chickens, 5 of which are pullets. I noticed today that one of my BO pullets has a much redder comb/wattles than the rest. It's not as dark as my cockerel, but it's still pretty red.
Here's a picture of her compared to my other BO
Even though her comb and wattles aren't as developed as some of my other pullets, they're definitely much darker
Could this possibly mean that she will be the first to lay? I know that typically pullets don't begin to lay until around 20 weeks, but could this mean she might start a couple weeks early?
