14 Week Old Pullet

My 14 Week Old Cornishx pullet she has been treated as a normal pullet, given laying mash of 16% protein. I think she is too fat so more restriction is in order.

It's so very difficult to beat their genetics. Good luck in extending her life. Is she free ranged with other birds ? That can help.

Free Range with Leghorns and some colored broiler pullets of the same age

My 3 CX I kept for breeding are the same age, turned 14 weeks old today.

I give them 3 cups of 18% pellets (1 cup per bird) for 3 days then 1 day of fasting but when they fast I make sure to add something full of worms or maggots to the top of the compost pile. Make them climb to get it. That compost pile is 6 feet tall.
