Can anyone tell me some possibilities of why my pullets are looking their tail feathers? This has been happening for about a month or so. I have ISA Browns and a RIR or two, 8 hens in all; no roosters. They are not eating them, as some have suggested, they are laying around the run and house. I have inserted a picture so you can see one of their tails, but they all look like this. Even a few have NO long feathers. Other than this issue, they seem to be very healthy and fluffy.

I have been so blessed by this community of "backyard keepers" that I hope to someday contribute to the site with my own experience and advice. Thank you! And thank you in advance for any help or advice

Right now they could be molting, all my roo's have started to molt already. Also check for holes in the coop where they sleep, because I've had problems of coons reaching through and yanking out some tail feathers from my chickens.
