I have two Silkies that are 14 weeks old and I am having a difficult time telling if they are pullets or roosters. At first I thought pullets, but they are stumping me now with their crests. The first 4 photos(same bird) its new crest hairs seem to be all around its crest. Comb is pretty flat and black and no waddle development yet. Do these look like streamers to you? The last 5 photos are of my other silkie that has me guessing. Mainly because of the newer feathers on the back of the head. No comb or waddle development yet.

Your second one I'm most certain is a pullet, but the first one, however...I'm just not sure. I don't see enough male feathering to think, Oh, that one's probably a male. In fact, my little blue silkie looks more manly than your first one, and is probably older than yours, but I haven't heard it crow, so still don't know the sex of one of my own silkies. :p Silkies are just so hard to sex. :p

Pullets

I've learned that even though a lot of male Silkie's have streamers, that doesn't always mean they are boys. I have pullets that have streamers, and look like cockerels, but they lay eggs. What says pullet to me is the comb. It's completely flat and there is no color whatsoever.
