14 weeks old - waiting for some eggs

I would say that you really can't tell until they start laying (like that helps, lol!). I have a sex link that is completely red in the comb and she's not laying, but my bantam cochins just started laying... they're all 16 weeks. They've probably been 'blushing' for about a month now and just started laying this week.

I would start mixing in some layer if you have other girls around. and when you run out of grower(if thats what you use) just use layer pellets. I had my 24 week old layer eating some layer pellets/grower mix just because I have younger girls. She still lays everyday

I'm still waiting for my girl with the bright red combs and wattles (which grew much bigger too) to lay... soon I hope. I notice her singing the egg song from time to time but not squatting yet.

Hey Mike 555444, beautiful girls... can you tell me what the breed your girl at the back on the left is (the red coloured one with the black tail). Mine are similar, and also have some black feathers around the neck. They were sold as red sussex but I don't know if that is right.
