In this season I see a lot of beautiful Chaenomeles around here. This kind of plant is easy to grow and well known for its abundant flowering. Entry 1:

A couple of years ago I planted one in my garden. First year it grew only leaves, this year it sprouted its first flower! Not an entry, just posting this as a reminder about difference between expectations VS reality
