Here's the thing guys - These chicks are from 3 DIFFERENT hens! I've tried to NOT let them set in the past because I have several roos and don't want to deal with more, but this year they all fooled me with hidden nests late in the season. There must be SOMETHING going on here besides sheer luck, or maybe God really decided to bless me this time around. The nutrition theory is interesting. I mostly just feed cracked corn and kitchen scraps, but they forage freely over several acres all day. Maybe I should go by a lottery ticket!
