What do you think? I am a first time chicken mom, I got 2 BCMs in my flock…. One is significantly bigger than the other but I don’t know if it’s because it’s a cockerel or if the other is a runt.
The smaller one has not developed any reddish feathers on its neck where the bigger one did over a month ago.

Thanks!

Are all these photos of the same bird?
If so, definitely a pullet!
Yep all the same girl! That’s what I was hoping for so that’s great news!

What are the “signs”that make you think that for my own growth and knowledge?

In the pics of the saddle area, the feathers are very rounded.
On a cockerel, at around 12 weeks of age, you would start to see pointed feathers coming in. At 15 weeks, they would be pretty obvious.
Also, I have also got a BCM pullet around the same age, and the comb is exactly the same size; were as on my Marans cockerels the same age they already look like a rooster! Very big and red.
There is always the possibility of a very slow developing cockerel, but going by the photos and the best of my knowledge, that is not the case here!

Awesome, thank you so much!
