Have any of you tried Intermittent Fasting? If so, how did it make you feel? I am doing the 16/8, eating only during an 8 hour period, then fasting for 16 hours, I am hoping to lose 15 pounds. I've been thin all my life, but 3 years ago I woke up one day and boom!...I was 15 pounds heavier! It all has to come off and I am determined.

I started this 3 days ago and I am surprised how much easier it is than traditional restrictive diets. And I feel better already giving my body a break from eating, fasting for 16 hours. Even after I reach my goal, or not, I think I am going to stick to this method of eating.

Tell me your experiences with this if you have ventured here, with any type of fasting you may have done. I've tried the 5/2, fasting completely for 2 days a week, I didn't care for it, it really threw my eating habits for a loop.

Anyone want to join me with intermittent fasting? :D

Fabulous to hear you have had success with this fasting! I can tell this is totally different from normal dieting. It definitely revs up the metabolism, they say this method burns fat easier than traditional diets due to the fasting/blood sugar levels, burning fat especially at night. I had a hard time sleeping last night, it felt like my body was working overtime.

I usually don't get on the scale for 1 week into the diet, but I felt like I would see a big difference at day 4. Sure enough, I am down 5 pounds already! :D 12 more to go! I am sure most of this was water loss, but I think this method is going to burn fat faster. I don't burn calories like I used to so I expect its going to take a couple of months to get to my goal of 116 pounds.

Do you also exercise too? I have always been a walker/hiker, walking 2 miles a day. I row too, yesterday I pushed it a bit and my legs feel pretty empty today. :D I think I will take a break today.

I look forward to joining you on this journey, lets do it! 👍

It is very beneficial for your body, I tried it, but have a weak stomach, so whenever I don’t eat regularly, I get a bad stomach pain which doesn’t go away, even after I have eaten something, so not for me. My brother-in-law had gout and inflamed intestine, he got well on it ( he only ate 3 days out of 7 like that, but he still had the health benefits, my sister said, he isn’t in a very good mood on his „diet“ days ) so, if you have the discipline for it , go for it !! It is also excellent if you have age related diabetes, it will improve your blood sugar in a good way, and if you also add regular exercise, it may even go away!

My hubby can't do it either, his blood sugar drops too much. Usually the first half of the fast is a little tough for me but I remind myself that it isn't anyone else's fault that I'm fasting so don't take it out on the people around you 😂😂😂
