OP's bird was a pullet. So, did that Chicken in the first pics turn out to be your best layer? I have one now at 16 weeks who is also a suspect Cockerel, nut I'm waiting for confirming evidence!
A couple tail feathers predominant, but others round and no pointy saddle feathers. No crowing. Lookout behaviour more common in past couple weeks. They dust bathe and act nesty like the others. Very sweet bird, doesn't compete with the top 3 chicks, except for grapes! 3rd image is Sis Goldie for comparison with Rusty. 16 wks.OP's bird was a pullet.
Any pics of your suspected?
