$160 Lavender Eggs!

Yeah Sorry Katy, I have my Sebbies on the brain. I had four eggs in the bator, due on the 10th.
Two were duds. Keeping my fingers crossed on the remaining two. I just hope they LIVE let alone get a boy and a girl!

Wow, someone gave me a naked neck lavender hen last fall. She's given me a couple eggs for the incubator, but I don't have any other lavenders, so we will have some really mixed up little naked necks!

PS - sorry for the really bad pic, and yes, the little turkey head (which is now her name b/c of my fiance) is in our living room.

What color of skin do lavenders have? This little girl has black feet, and everywhere but her neck is black skin. She also has a black beak. I'm not saying that she is definatly a lavender, she could be a mutt for all I care. I'll never give her up as she is by far my best hen. She is definatly not blue like my blue silkie hen. I'll try to get a better photo next week.

Well, lilke I said, she could be a mutt and I wouldn't give her up. I'm not one for telling the colors of chickens. I sell depending on the color of egg, not the color of the bird. I can tell my RIR apart from the golden comets, and every other bird is a different color that I have.

So, anyway, why are lavender eggs worth $10 each?
