I put them in the incubator last night. Upon closer inspection one was cracked. I was bummed

but used it as a great opportunity to show my kids the difference between a fert and non fert egg. It WAS!

I actually dreamed about lavender chickens last night until I was so rudely awoken by the dog barking. Turns out she got sprayed by a skunk! POOR girl! But she was out there doing her duty guarding the chickens. GOOD GIRL!

I'm sorry to hear one got cracked. I hope the rest do well for you. I have a hatch set too and just candled the other day. 24 out of 26 eggs were growing well. Good luck and I hope you have a great hatch!

Candle them about ten days and let us know how they are developing!

This is cool! Next time, if the crack is small, try putting some melted wax over it. I have done that even with a pretty smashed in egg, and had them hatch
