$160 Lavender Eggs!

Darn-it! I sure wish I would have known about the melted wax trick a few days ago!

I can't wait to candle them. I can't believe it has only been three days! I want them to pip NOW.

The more rare and exotic the bird, the more pricey the eggs.

And they look like marvelous birds. Well worth the price I'm certain.

We are very excited. Today we have baby's in the second incubator we used to hatch in. 5 out of 9 so far. BCM. Once they are all done it will get a good disinfecting and wait for the Lavenders.

We had a terrible storm last night. Lots of rain and lightning. I was freaking out we might lose power and I could barely sleep. We didn't though thank goodness!
 
If you are in a pinch and it is an egg you don't want to lose. I have taken clear tape and put it over the crack (if it is minor) and had all but one hatch. I have done this many times. This is tape like you wrap a present with.

However, if you have 24 eggs and one cracks I wouldn't chance the rest of the batch. If you have only 6 eggs like these Lavenders I would chance it with tape.
