I have had three accidental silkie roosters and I live in the city. I have gave them away just after they started crowing. It was not super loud but they were just learning, so not sure how this would look like later.

I miss them sometimes coz they were so good looking - one whole white, one whole red and one partridge. I'll try to find photos.

I'm afraid my post is not very helpful, but we could not find any good ways to volume down crowing. Keeping him his whole life in the coop seems like torture for him so we decide to give them better countryside life
