16x12 coop design

So you are going to install a full HVAC system?

Sort of. Mini split. There is a 4ftx1ft box that hangs on the wall then there is a small condenser outside. They use a heat pump for heat. Very effective systems, I use them in screened porches all the time. Will spray foam the coop and put up solar so shouldn't cost much in operation.

Will it provide fresh air?
Have you considered the dust factor?

Like I said in a previous reply, I'll put fresh air vents around the bottom, near the floor. Up high I will put a 650-750 cfm barn rated fan. Run it on a timer 15 min every 60. Itll turn the air over 4x in those 15 min. Could do 5-10 min every 30 also. But I'll also have a bunch of windows and doors so when nice out I can just let bunch of fresh air in. Even with turning the air over it won't be too bad to heat/cool it.

Will be curious to see how it works out, especially in winter.
Gas and/or electric...will you be able to accurately measure power consumption?

I'll probably just do electric and forgo running gas. I can put a meter on it and see once it's all built. Just found a near hrv for poultry. It exhausts stale air and then transfers the heat to the incoming air. Still trying to find a price on it. Also trying to figure out how to connect solar into it.
